This picture was taken 09-Sept-2024 at the top of El Garbi mountain just outside of Valencia, Spain. The time was approx 7:10am, just as the sun was rising over the Balearic Sea in the background. I rode 30 miles and 3,000 feet of elevation to get to this point BEFORE the sunrise (50km distance + 915m elevation). It was painful, especially in the 18 to 21% gradient areas before the summit, but it was worth EVERY drop of sweat to get there before the sunrise...
