Steve BestThe first vintage bike I saw was a Curly Hetchins 2 members of Royal Dean Forest CC had them then later a 3rd got a brand new one in the late eighties. I've seen a couple of Pederson bikes my other favourites are Bates with Diadrant forks and Paris Galibier frame, Colnago Master Olympic very nice, Colnago bititan with twin downtube more sensible (it won't rust!)
Steve BestOh last heard the owner of Hetchins is the former manager of Adam and the Ants, if you want to order one you'll have to speak up as he is a little bit deaf....
Samuel SmithHetchins are beautiful but I'd be scared to ride one for fear of ruining it. I've also hankered after Pedersons and did look at the website many years ago of a builder in Denmark but they have now retired. I always though that Bates' Diadrant forks would look good on a curly Hetchins' frame, matching the aesthetics of the folks with the chain stays.
Steve BestIncidentally compare Bates Diadrant forks to Pinarello Dogma..... There's a modern spin on the design.....
