Cycles Recycled is a Community Interest Company located in Clitheroe; run as a social enterprise to assist more people to cycle. The company was formed in 2010 and is at the forefront of cycle promotion, recycling, repair and refurbishment. Their large showroom in Clitheroe offers the ultimate "cycling hub" where the whole family can get cycle ready! Prices start at £30 for children's bikes and £60 for adult bikes. They accept all types of bike donations to refurbish and then rehome them. Any bikes that cannot be rehomed are recycled into new products such as bags, chairs and wall hangings. Active Cycles provides high-quality recycled bikes! They recycle bikes and parts donated by the public, supplying affordable bikes that are certified safe and roadworthy. Recycled bikes mean less bikes in landfill and a reduced rates for you! All bikes are certified as roadworthy by their mechanics and any parts that do not meet strict standards are replaced with new parts. All funds raised are put back into their charity so they can continue their work and deliver new projects across the county.
Preston Pedals is a Climate Action Preston project, supporting Preston communities to get on their bikes and reduce waste by reusing bikes that might otherwise end up in landfill. Check out their Facebook group here.
