One of my goals for a while has been to cycle from London to my parents in Huddersfield and this weekend I totally just went and did it! 😃💪🤸♀️✨ My first solo adventure and even though some bits (especially the hilly bit over Strines on the second day) were tough, I had a blast! . I planned my route on Strava the day before to include some National Cycle Network routes which took me on gravel trails, old railways, through city parks, around lakes and along canal paths (basically all of the pretty bits) and I LOVED it! I got away from the traffic and got to explore really awesome places I would never have seen from the road. . Met some lovely people along my way and had a fab stay in Leicester on route -yay for a room with Aircon during the heatwave! 🌡️ . The stats: 2 days, 338km, 3,383m elevation 📈 National Cycle Network Routes 6, 54, 63 🗺️ Trek Domane SL6 🚲✨ Rapha Core Cargo Shorts 😉Garmin Edge 1000, more snacks than I can remember 😋 What an adventure!! 😃🙌✨
